What does individual or ‘by the bed’ leasing mean?

Each resident signs their own lease for their specific bedroom. If a roommate moves out, the other residents are not responsible for that person's rent. Common areas are shared.

What are rental installments? Why is my rent not prorated?

A rental installment is one payment in a series of equal payments. The total housing contract is divided into equal installments that already account for the lease start and end dates, including proration.

What’s included in my rent?

Furniture package, in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, trash, and amenity access.

What is Double occupancy?

Double occupancy means two residents share the same bedroom. Each person signs their own lease.

Do I have to find my own roommate?

Yes. If you don't have a roommate, RoomSync helps match you with other residents. If you don't choose a roommate before the deadline, the leasing team will match you based on your application.

Is the apartment fully furnished?

Yes. Apartments are fully furnished with a living room furniture package, stainless steel kitchen appliances, bar stools, and bedroom furniture including a bed, under-bed storage, desk, and chair.

What should I bring to my new apartment?

Bring your own linens, pillows, towels, toiletries, shower curtain and hooks, electronics, décor, trash cans, cookware, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, and cleaning and laundry supplies.

What if I need something repaired in my apartment?

Submit a service request through the resident portal, email the leasing office, or call or visit the office during business hours. Emergency maintenance is available 24/7 by calling the office.

How do I pay my rent and when is it due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month and can be paid through the Resident Portal by credit card or bank account. Personal checks, money orders, and cashier's checks are also accepted. Cash is not accepted. Automatic payments are recommended.

If I am an international student, do I need a Guarantor?

If you don't have U.S. credit history or a guarantor, you can prepay two installments instead. International applicants must also provide at least two qualifying documents, such as a passport, visa documentation, proof of employment, or an I-20/proof of enrollment.
